Take one super handsome toddler, mix in two good-looking, easy-going parents, then add a dash of their parents(-in-law) and bring them all to Humarock Beach in Scituate on a perfect, warm late summer night.  The result?  This stunning session with the R. family.   Monica, thank for you allowing me to capture your family and for being so great to work with — you guys looked fabulous, but your family’s love and fun together looked even better.  <3 Christina

The lovely D. family, with their sweet one year old girl, met me and my camera at Minot Beach in Scituate for a photo shoot with their (amazingly well-behaved) dog and Mother/Mother-in-law/Grandma in tow.  I always love including grandparents in my shoots, because a) they make great photos for the family to enjoy across generations and b) grandparents are usually fabulous assistants during the other shots, helping me get little ones to have fun and laugh.   If you’re thinking about booking a session, and have grandparents nearby or coming into town, definitely think about booking your session with them as part of the action – you will all be glad to have those photos as the years pass.

{Also, with fall now upon us — its sweater weather, y’all! — I’m going to really miss my beach sessions.  As the weeks go by, from here on out, they’ll get chillier and chillier until no one is able to really enjoy it anymore.  Until next year summer skies …}

Anyhoo, this post is about the D. family!  Where was I?  Oh yes, I do believe that their loveliness and love speaks for themselves, so no more rambling from me …

Working with the Anderson family, and their two boys, was so much fun.  We met up at one of my favorite spots, World’s End in Hingham,  on a perfect summer day (after rescheduling twice due to bad weather – it happens!) and had an awesome family session. I have two sons just about the same age, so I gotta admit little boys are are kind of my jam.  We had no trouble getting everyone loose and happy for some family shots, but when it came time to get the two boys together, just the two of them — woo-howdy, they made me work for it!  But that is my job after all, and I got some great action shots of them both together, in the knick of time.

Thanks so much, Ali & fam — such a pleasure to meet you and capture these awesome photos for you guys!

This day has been a long time in the making and I’m so excited its finally here.  My humble little business has underdone quite the transformation.  It’s like Extreme Makeover: Photography Business Edition up in here!

For starters, C.B. Ward Photography now goes by Christina Ward Photography — I hope this change will allow new clients to know who I am right away and remember my name.  Much clearer for everyone, I think.  I hope!

I’ve also been working overtime to get the new branding and site design ready, with my fabulous web designer, Jen Gentry at Mesmerizing Moments.  She is a photographer, as well as a wonderful designer who knows the ins and outs of web and blog design.   Jen worked with me (virtually) hand-in-hand to create all of the colors, features, logos and design you see here.  She took the time to get to know what was important to me and really brought my vision to life.   She was a delight to work with and made the whole process as seamless and stress-free as possible.

There may be a few bugs to work out here and over on my Facebook business page, so bear with me.  What can I say, I’m a photographer, not a web guru.

But everything else you’ve come to know and expect from me and my business remains the same:  personal, friendly  customer service from start to finish, easy-going and fun sessions, final images that will make you squeal with delight, and high-quality professional prints and products delivered to your home.

I’m always, always striving to improve myself personally, as an artist and businesswoman.   The changes you see here today are all a part of that, and I thank you so much for being on this journey with me.

{{I currently have very few weekend session dates still available for the fall photo season; and weekday sessions are beginning to fill up as well — contact me ASAP if you’re hoping to book a session before the holidays!}}

Three boys under five years old, wow, what amazing, beautiful chaos!  Greg and Dana’s three boys had the run of their neighborhood beach in Hingham, and I was just along for the ride to shoot into the semi-organized fray.  I loved it!  You know its a great family session when your iPhone bounces out of your pocket and tumbles 30 ft down the pier onto watery rocks below in pursuit of the shot and your first reaction is “WORTH IT!”.

Thank you so much, Leonard family, it was so great meeting you and I truly did have such a good time.  And, Dana, I need to publicly profess that you’re my new Mama Hero and, if I end up with three boys one day myself (and I may!), you are my total role model!

A precious little newborn girl (12 days new) and her adoring parents, at home together, just as they are.  In other words, perfection.  Miss Oona was more awake than sleepy, but who can blame her?  So much new life to discover!   Thank you, Mark & Kate, for inviting me into your home during such a sacred time to capture these images of your perfect girl.

I just loved photographing Jen, Lance and Grayson at their gorgeous Cohasset home. They recently had their (huge!) yard re-landscaped and it was incredible. How many little boys get to grow up with a pond right behind their house? So cool. I could have stayed there making pictures all night long, but I guess eventually the sun would have abandoned us :)
Thanks so much, Dial family – always a treat hanging out with you guys. Grayson is my favorite chatty, car-loving two year old! <3
