I’m throwing it waaaay back this Thursday, all the way to August 2014, when it was warm and glorious and we were on a first name basis with the beach. Although, to be fair, you can’t tell from these images, but it had been pouring rain (with rain and thunder, the whole works) less than an hour before our session. Colleen and I had texted back and forth, should we cancel, should we not? We had decided to cancel, then all of a sudden the clouds parted and it was beautiful out. I texted her back that I was game, if her crew of teens and tots still were — they were!
We spent a beautiful hour down on Minot Beach in Scituate for their family session. Their blended family had such a strong bond and it was so neat to see; the step-brothers who are also close friends, the way the step-mom and step-dad designations seemed meaningless. I’m so glad the rain cleared up and we made it happen.
Bartlett family, hope to see you all again on your next vacation in Scituate. You were fun and real and total sweethearts.
